Goda Laima was born in 1968 in the USSR. She graduated from the State University of Arts, with a specialization in clothing design. Laima worked in the field of exclusive clothing and theatrical costume design until 2002 when she moved to Moscow to become a freelance artist and photographer.
In people above all she appreciates trusting relationships, mutual understanding, creative minds and a good sense of humor. She loves cats, enjoys grapes, cheese and coffee and appreciates good red vine. Most of all human traits she dislikes snobbism and obsession with money.
Visiting Peterhof, a Russian Versailles in St-Petersburg long ago has become a major artistic shock for her. In fine arts she appreciates the artists who pursued the path of impressionism-Schielle, Modigliani, Van Gough-because their style and the way they perceived the surrounding world concurs with her own feelings. Along with painting, Laima is a professional photographer and some of her works have been displayed at international fairs.
