Andrey Orlov was born in 1961 in Moscow where he lives up until now with his family, wife and his two daughters. Although Andrey is a professional artist, graduated from the Moscow Art Open University, he has a rather non-artistic day job as a communications specialist for Aeroflot (Russian airlines). Andrey participated in several Moscow expositions and his works can be found in private collections in different countries such as US, Australia, Japan, China, France, Italy and Germany.
Andrey loves music, sport and old movies; he is a passionate gardener and a keen traveler. He accepts life in its true colors, with all the joy and worries associated with it. He appreciates peace and freedom to create as the biggest social achievements. He likes kind and open people, and values mercy and austerity. His favorite authors are Dostoevsky, Chekhov, Bulgakov and Zochenko.
When he was a child, he went to the Tretyakov's Art Gallery in Moscow where he was amazed by the Shishkin's "Rye" and "Morning in the pine tree forest". He also appreciates works of Vrubel, Malevich, Monet, Van Gough and Titian. He loves art that, like music, can engender strong feelings from delight and to tears, disappointment and goosebumps.
